Tony Ninos
Class of 1942
Tony Ninos
An A.U. alumnus, Tony Ninos spent much of his life helping people identify a common purpose. Determined to bridge the gaps dividing those around him, Tony used his business and political skills to cultivate unity and empathy.
In addition to owning and operating the Brevard Hotel in Cocoa, Florida, he served as mayor of Cocoa for four years. His term, which occurred during civil rights protests and sit-ins, compelled him to be a liaison between business owners and the minority community.
Tony later served in the Florida House of Representatives (Democrat) in 1967. He maintained the historic Brevard Hotel until 1996, when it was sold and torn down to promote the business-friendly environment of Cocoa Village.
